EAR PLUGS
Sunday a small crowd got to the Star Bar early enough to see Hustler White,
a new assemblage of familiar faces on the local scene, doing a short set of
droney guitar overload- three guitars and a bass practically ran roughshod over
the thin lyrics and drums. Noisy stuff.
A few more folk trickled in by the time The Titanics began. They did their usual
excellent set and the crowd grew, and grew appreciative too. Everyone was grinning
with joy by the end of the set.
Ultrababyfat came on stage, late (and crowded) for a school night, and did a
fun, “glad to be home” casual set that got everyone bopping heads.
It made for a tough day at the office the next morning but more than worth it!
Dawn Marie, sci-fi con reporter extraordinnaire, has a report on Exoticon in
