Fortunately at the Shim Sham you can retire to bar in the front room and get a seat for a bit, flirt with the friendly crowd, watch passers by outside wandering the French Quarter and drink yourself stupid.

Since the shows were packed with photographers and press, it was nice to retire to the bar and get a few shots of the friendly crowd.
Most folks were happy to have their picture taken, which was a pleasant change from the cranky folks I usually hang out with.
Lots of folks were dressed to kill.
And lots of folks were getting nutty.
Myself included.
But that's to be expected in New Orleans!
The place was packed with pretty faces...
of all shapes and sizes and from all over the planet.
Retro was the fashion theme du jour...
but this varied from 20's suits to 60's glam and everything in between.
Stupid drunk, we skipped the last act in favor of a late night snack with this couple of hotties we met at the bar.

Then we realized we didn't have enough for cab fare and had to walk the 20-odd blocks back to the hotel, stumbling in around 3:30, bleary and blistered. But the snack and late night exercise prevented the morning hangover, so we were able to pack and check out on time without too much groaning.
